Lobus superior pulmonis dextri
- Origin
- Forms the apex and upper anterior part of the right lung, separated from the middle lobe by the horizontal fissure (at the 4th rib) and oblique fissure posteriorly
- Insertion
- Adjacent to superior mediastinal structures, right subclavian vessels, and trachea
- Function
- Upper right hemithorax oxygenation and ventilation
- Innervation
- Pulmonary plexus
- Movement & chain
- Pump-handle thoracic expansion
- Palpation
- Auscultated anteriorly from supraclavicular space down to the 4th rib
- Clinical
- Apical lung cancer (Pancoast syndrome), superior vena cava obstruction syndrome, reactivation pulmonary tuberculosis.

- T2-T5 spinal levels (C8-T1 at apex)
