Median antebrachial vein
Vena mediana antebrachii
- Origin
- Arises from the palmar venous plexus and anterior wrist veins
- Insertion
- Ascends the midline of the anterior forearm to terminate in the basilic, cephalic, or median cubital vein
- Function
- Drains superficial venous blood from the palmar hand and anterior forearm
- Innervation
- Sympathetic perivascular nerves

- Superficial subcutaneous course in the volar forearm
- Palpation
- Visible and palpable along the midline of the anterior forearm
- Clinical
- Contributes to classic 'M' or 'Y' anatomical variations of antecubital venous drainage
