Rete venosum palmare et venae digitales palmares
- Origin
- Subcutaneous microvenous network of the fingers and palm
- Insertion
- Connects via intercapitular veins to the dorsal venous network and drains into palmar arches
- Function
- Drains the volar digits and palm, shunting blood to the dorsal venous system during palmar gripping
- Innervation
- Sympathetic vasomotor plexus

- Intercapitular veins redirect flow dorsally when the palm is compressed

- Venous congestion in digit replantation, paronychia, or felon (panaritium)
