Rami anterior et posterior arteriae renalis
- Origin
- Arise from the main renal artery near the renal hilum
- Insertion
- Anterior division supplies 4 vascular segments (apical, anterosuperior, anteroinferior, inferior); posterior division supplies the posterior segment
- Function
- Delivers segmented arterial flow to the five independent renal vascular segments, creating Brodel's/Hyrtl's avascular line
