- Origin
- Located to the right of Cantlie's line, forming the anatomical right hemiliver
- Insertion
- Comprises Segment V (right anteromedial), Segment VI (right anterolateral/inferior), Segment VII (right posterolateral/superior), and Segment VIII (right posteromedial/superior)
- Function
- Performs 60-70% of total hepatic metabolic workload, supplied by the right portal triad and drained by the right and middle hepatic veins

- Moves with diaphragm during respiration

- Right hepatectomy for colorectal liver metastases or HCC; portal vein embolization (PVE) used preoperatively to induce left lobe hypertrophy.
