- Arise from the proximal segment of each renal artery

- Ascend to supply the inferior aspect of the suprarenal (adrenal) gland
- Function
- Supplies the adrenal cortex (mineralocorticoids, glucocorticoids, androgens) and medulla (catecholamines)
