Capsula articularis cubiti
- Origin
- Proximal to radial, coronoid, and olecranon fossae of humerus
- Insertion
- Margins of coronoid process, olecranon, and annular ligament
- Function
- Encloses humeroulnar, humeroradial, and proximal radioulnar joints within a single synovial cavity
- Innervation
- Musculocutaneous, radial, median, and ulnar nerves
- Movement & chain
- Permits full flexion and extension while resisting hyperextension
- Palpation
- Palpable in posterolateral 'soft spot' when distended with effusion
- Clinical
- Post-traumatic elbow stiffness / capsular contracture; posterior elbow dislocation; hemarthrosis.

- C5–C8
