- How to find it
- Follow the first metatarsal proximally to the joint line. The bone directly proximal to it lies between that line and the navicular, on the inner border of the foot.
- What you use it for
- Attachment of tibialis anterior and of part of fibularis longus, which pulls on it from the plantar side. Together they set the position of the first ray.
