Cuboid
Os cuboideum
- How to find it
- Find the tuberosity of the fifth metatarsal and move one to two centimetres proximally along the lateral border. That bone lies between that tuberosity and the calcaneus.
- What you use it for
- On the plantar side the fibularis longus tendon runs through a groove in this bone. Cuboid subluxation is a known cause of lateral foot pain persisting after an inversion injury.
