- On the outer side of the ankle; it reaches clearly further distally and lies more posteriorly than the medial one.
- What you use it for
- Its anterior border is the starting point of the anterior talofibular ligament; its posterior border and the distal 6 cm belong to the Ottawa ankle rules.
