Ligamentum transversum genus et ligamentum meniscofemorale posterius (Wrisberg)
- Origin
- Anterior horn of medial meniscus (transverse) and posterior horn of lateral meniscus (meniscofemoral/Wrisberg)
- Insertion
- Anterior horn of lateral meniscus and medial femoral condyle adjacent to PCL
- Function
- Transverse ligament tethers anterior meniscal horns preventing anterior extrusion in extension; Wrisberg ligament mobilizes lateral meniscus posteriorly in flexion
- Innervation
- Tibial nerve (L4–S1)
- Movement & chain
- Coordinates synchronized meniscal migration during knee flexion-extension
- Palpation
- Intra-articular, non-palpable

- Wrisberg pseudotear appearance on MRI; lateral meniscal root avulsion.
