- How to find it
- On the radial side of the palm, distal to the radial styloid; clearer with the wrist in radial deviation. In the anatomical snuffbox you feel the same bone from the dorsal side.
- What you use it for
- Tenderness in the snuffbox after a fall onto the outstretched hand is a scaphoid fracture until proven otherwise, even with a negative radiograph.
