- How to find it
- The broad bump on the side of the hip, about a hand's width below the iliac crest. Rotate the hip: it clearly turns under your hand.
- What you use it for
- Attachment of the gluteus medius and minimus; tenderness fits gluteal tendinopathy or trochanteric bursitis. Also a reference for leg length.
