Spina scapulae
- How to find it
- Place your fingers on the acromion and follow the bony ridge medially and slightly caudally. Under your finger runs a continuous crest separating two muscle compartments: the supraspinous fossa above it and the much larger infraspinous fossa below.
- What you use it for
- The divide between the supraspinous and infraspinous fossae, and so between supraspinatus and infraspinatus. Also the landmark for judging scapular position.
