- How to find it
- The most prominent spinous process at the base of the neck. Have the patient flex and then extend the neck: C7 stays put while C6 moves forward and slips away.
- What you use it for
- The counting point from which you count the thoracic levels, and the reference for measuring cervical range of motion.
