- How to find it
- Follow the row of lumbar spinous processes caudally. Past L5 they merge into one continuous raised strip down the middle of the sacrum.
- What you use it for
- The crest is the fused row of spinous processes of S1 to S4. The upper tubercles, at S1 and S2, are the reference for locating the sacroiliac joints.
