Medial femoral condyle
Condylus medialis femoris
- How to find it
- The same approach as laterally, but on the inner side of the patellar ligament. The medial condyle projects further distally than the lateral one, and that difference is palpable.
- What you use it for
- The most heavily loaded part of the knee and the usual site of osteoarthritis, certainly with a varus alignment. The attachment of the medial collateral ligament sits directly on it.
