- How to find it
- On the lateral side, about two centimetres distal to the joint line of the knee. Palpate gently: the common peroneal nerve runs right around it.
- What you use it for
- Attachment of the fibular collateral ligament and of the biceps femoris; a risk site for peroneal palsy from pressure or a cast.
